Mindfulness in Mykonos Retreat

August 29 - September 04, 2021

Join us on the Greek Island of Mykonos for a week of daily mindful movement, meditation, and cultural workshops coupled with afternoons of exploration and immersion into local culture. You can also expect a healthy dose of beach time and the kind of relaxation you can only experience on a Cycladic island.

Our purpose-driven retreat combines inner and outer adventures. This is a holistic program designed with meaningful experiences to ignite your well-being, along with day trips to enrich the soul.

We’ll stay in a luxurious beachfront villa situated in the southern part of Mykonos on one of its finest sandy beaches, Elia. It’s one of the few properties on the island that enjoys breathtaking sea views and privacy. We are also located within walking distance of the beautiful Lia beach.

For this week we have partnered with Kristina Headrick of Yia Mas, a lifestyle brand and workshop series inspired by the traditions of wellness and self-inquiry embedded in Hellenic culture. Their wellness events, retreats, and conscious objects are inspired by the land and ancient wisdom of Greece. Yia Mas’s ethos celebrates the richness of Greece’s land and culture.

Our collective goal is mindful travel – creating retreats that feed and restore your mind, body, and spirit.

Our retreat will give you a unique opportunity to escape the demands of your life, disconnect from your responsibilities, and focus solely on You. Prepare to feel rejuvenated, reconnected and realigned, then ready to leap forward, afterward.

Who the retreat is for…”Travel for the sophisticated person who’s looking for a bit more – dare I say, an impact.’’
… anyone who has always wanted to go to Greece (but not wanted to do it alone!).
….anyone who wants to have a meaningful yet fun time with like-minded people
… anyone interested in personal development and self-discovery

For anyone looking for unique experiences centered around wellness, connection, and making a positive impact

Katie Sandler uses her life experiences and education to help her clients reach that “a-ha” moment, enabling personal and professional transformation. She’s not a life coach, instead Katie is an Impact Coach. Her goal is to help clients meet their unmet potential, find purpose in their lives, and ultimately make an impact on the world around them.

Katie herself has overcome immense physical and mental hurdles, including being born without an ear, overcoming paralysis at age 17 and subsequently facing depression head-on. After struggling to keep her head above water, Sandler discovered the benefits of mind-body medicine. With over a decade of experience, including a Master’s in Mental Health Counselling, a Bachelor’s in Psychology, and a background as a psychiatric research assistant from Johns Hopkins, Katie uses her expertise to impact her clients through one-on-one consultations, group consultations and her Impact Retreat and Group Impact Adventures, which take place all around the world.

Kristina Maria Headrick – Founder of Yia Mas https://www.yia-mas.com/workshops

Greek American Kristina Maria Headrick synthesizes her Greek upbringing with a lifelong study of Greek philosophy, dance, design, and culture.

Kristina’s unbounded curiosity and appreciation for self-inquiry led her to pursue alternative ways of presenting Greek folk remedies and ancient traditions in a way that modern audiences find engaging. She holds a degree in history from the University of Virginia.

Yia Mas is heavily influenced by Kristina’s ongoing studies and certifications. She has extensive experience studying yoga and meditation (200-hour RYT, 100-hour meditation teacher training with Nalanda Institute of Contemplative Science, 75-hour training with Katonah Yoga, Mentorship program at Sky Ting Yoga in NYC).

With a background in writing and digital marketing, her work attempts to bridge the gap between our increasingly digital realities and tactile experiences. She balances digital work with teaching movement and meditation, including corporate and co-working space settings in New York City.

Impact Method

Our introspective and personal discovery workshops teach you how to think differently – providing a space for you to challenge yourself to grow, have a shift in perspective and introduce you to kind awareness and compassion.

We cover the basics of mindfulness and practice it in many forms. We discuss our internal dialogue, our origin, the biology behind being human, the sum of our parts, acceptance and authentic, realistic balance, purpose, alignment and so much more.

Ultimately you walk away knowing yourself a bit more, deepening your presence in yourself, this moment, and this existence. You walk away wanting to make the world a better place by simply being a better you.
